Monday Already?!

When I woke up this morning I felt like I had just gone to bed, what a disappointment! Oh well, the sooner Monday starts, the sooner Friday is here, right? Today should be interesting because tonight marks the start another grad school program in addition to the program I am finishing up, so my time will be a little limited the next few weeks when the classes overlap… I’m hoping it won’t mess up my schedule too much, but we shall see!

I slept fantastic last night despite not feeling too well when I went to bed, I still have a little bit of a headache but I’m wondering if it’s related to that cold I’ve been carrying the last week or so… I still feel better than I did yesterday, so hopefully as the day goes on I will only feel better :)

For breakfast this morning, I had good old blue oats with cinnamon, flax, blueberries, and a smidge of peanut butter… They were yummy but I definitely didn’t account for the water that was in the frozen blueberries because it came out kind of soupy at first, I “spooned”/drained out the water after I cooked it and it looked & tasted much more appetizing… it was the perfect combo for this am since it made me feel awake and full all at the same time… and the coffee didn’t hurt either ;)

Happy Monday, hope it’s not a “manic monday”!

Uh Oh

I was not feeling so hot a little while ago… I definitely overdid it… I had some wheat crackers with this awesome buffalo dip, a sugar cookie and a slice of this pumpkin roll at the demonstration and I think from not having heavy amounts of sugar the last few days, it is really hitting me hard today… I feel like I am in a sugar-induced coma! My mom is also pretty stuffed so we called off the idea of having a big dinner and decided to have breakfast-like foods instead… they had eggs & homefries but I decided to stick with my favorite comfort food: oatmeal… I am not really balanced on food groups today, but whatever, it’s Sunday… I made my oats w/ some flax seed, walnuts (hiding in the picture), and about a 1/4 cup of applesauce… I never had this combination but it was pretty good!  I wish you could smell how good the cinnamon-apple’y combination was, but unfortunately, that technology has not yet been created haha…

On the plus side, I’ve been in my pjs working on homework for the last few hours and finally got my slides for school done… I also drank TONS of water which helped (in my mind) to flush out the sugar (note this is only my silly belief)… I plan on veggin’ out the rest of the night w/ the parents… Plus Oprah’s big give is on tonight :) I am not a huge fan of Oprah but I LOOOOVE this show, it’s amazing the changes people have made to other people’s lives! Hopefully you all had a great weekend and are preparing for another work/school week!
