Love Of Oats

A blog dedicated to balancing a healthy and fun life… with oats!

Spiciness

So I took VeggieGirl & Em’s advice and had the Banana Cookie Larabar as my mid-am snack and I was NOT disappointed… IT was SOOOOOO good… I’m not sure how this ranks in my favorites now… I think I have too many to rank high and can’t decide which is my favorite… It was definitely better than the Lemon Bar I had yesterday, even though I liked that one too… I guess after I try more flavors, I will come up with an updated “ranking” hehe…

Lunch today was full of spices… I totally forgot that a few weeks back I picked up Amy’s Organic Vegan Chili, so I decided to give it a try today… This serving is a cup’s worth (half can), but it does look like a big serving from the picture :) I also had the LAST wheat mini bagel w/ some spicy red pepper hummus on top… All around, this was a pretty protein/veggie-packed lunch, so I’m hoping it has some staying power in my stomach!  It was SO spicy that I inhaled a 32 oz waterbottle within seconds… I usually love spices (and I did) but this was spicier than I expected, still delish, though!

Hope you are all having a nice & fast Wednesday like I am (and that the sun makes an appearance for you like it did for me)!

Em & VeggieGirl ~ thanks for the suggestion :)

Ashley ~ I can’t find them locally around me either, except in a health foods store & on their website… However I hear WholeFoods & TraderJoes sells them! Good luck!

Erika ~ Mmmm, never thought about adding stuff to it… That would be great w/ more veggies… I am definitely going to attempt the lentil dip!!

Chandra ~ hehe, I have noticed! You would definitely love this chili ;)
