Love Of Oats

A blog dedicated to balancing a healthy and fun life… with oats!

Hunger No More

I learned a lesson yesterday that fiber & whole grains are my best friends… by incorporating a lot of fiber & whole grains, the hunger that I was experiencing all day yesterday was nowhere to be found today :)   I was contstantly feeling satisfied ALL day!

When I got home from work, I was hungry but nothing like the hunger I had yesterday before dinner… For dinner, we had green beans, roasted carrots & potatoes, and yummy kielbasa & sauerkraut…

Afterwards, I hit the gym (so proud of my 3 days in a row – haven’t done that in a long time!) for a good cardio workout in which I spent 15 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the elliptical… then I did an upper body lifting workout, except I switched up my normal exercises for some different ones and worked my shoulders first then went onto triceps and biceps and finished with chest, usually I do the complete opposite order, so it was nice to change it up…

I have no real big plans for tonight, except for veggin’ out & catching up on the blogs & email… I have some work to do for my online class, but I can’t really do it until my other group members provide inputs, so I was able to take the night off from school… I feel somewhat guilty that I’m not doing homework!

You’re very right. I never ever feel hungry if I eat my fiber and whole grains. As soon as I don’t, I feel hungry after an hour!

Fiber & whole grains DO work wonders for satiety – you’ve got the right idea, for sure!

Hooray for your consistent workouts!! :0)

Don’t feel guilty about not doing homework – enjoy your “veggin’ out” time, girl!
