Love Of Oats

A blog dedicated to balancing a healthy and fun life… with oats!

Sorry!

I apologize for the super late post!  It was a crazier (busy) day than expected, plus I got to the gym later than normal and still had to do laundry & pack for Cooperstown!

Anyway, this will be a short & sweet post…

My dinner (since we got home late – had to pick up a car from the shop!) was a pb&j sandwich with kashi and cottage cheese… I was going to make something more dinner-like, but for some reason I really wanted pb&j, probably since I haven’t had it in a few days!

After dinner, I headed to the gym for 30 minutes of cardio (15 mins elliptical + 15 mins treadmill) and 20 minutes of upper body weights + abs… It was a good tough workout!  I felt pumped & energetic when I got home, so I had all these ambitious goals of packing & stuff… After an hour of doing laundry & packing up, the tiredness has hit me… I didn’t really feel like packing anymore but unfortunately I still have to!  Oh well… to keep me going, I decided to have another mini meal… 1/8 cup bulgur w/ chocolate chips, yogurt raisins, nuts, and a drizzle of maple syrup… It didn’t really help w/ keeping me awake, if anything, my belly is full and I’m ready for bed :)

Do you all dread packing as much as me?

Romina ~ Ahhh, being Mary Poppins would definitely be awesome!

    VeggieGirl + creatingadiva + MizFit ~ That’s true… Unpacking is much worse!!!!!

ChocolateCoveredVegan ~ No I definitely ate it cooked… I don’t think it would taste very good uncooked ;) I think even in tabbouli it is cooked first, right?

Jill ~ hehehe, def not awesome!

oatmeal ~ Haha… :) I know, I had all my favorites today (except for ice cream!)…

RhodeyGirl ~ LOL, it’s funny you say that because I enjoy coming up w/ outfit ideas (I definitely plan it all out in excel like weeks in advance)! But I hate doing all the laundry & packing it all away!

Jenn ~ Yeah I’m not a huge fan of them because they are calorie dense, however, just a sprinkling of them in bulgur or oats hits the spot!

    Yuck– packing.

The bulgur looks terrific– do you cook it, or eat it raw? I’ve only ever had bulgur in tabbouli.

Okay, that bedtime mini-meal looks BEYOND scrumptious – glad that your belly is full :0D

I dread UNpacking more than I do packing… but they’re both pretty brutal, haha ;0)

Those melty chocolate chips look heavenly!

I dread packing so so so much. I always end up doing it an hour before I need to, then I fear I’ll forget something! I wish it was like Mary Poppins where I can just snap and everything will pack itself.
