Ok so the hunger went away but the urge to munch just continued to linger all afternoon
However, I am proud to say that I was super-smart about it… Instead of giving in to my urges, simply because my activity level was not increased today and I did make sure that I drank tons of water (100 oz before even eating dinner), I resorted to having a very HOT cup of yogi green tea (which kept me busy and warm for an hour)… Despite it being near 80 degrees outside, our office is FREEZING and I made the mistake of wearing a 3/4 length dress shirt today!
After the tea, the real hunger came back for a bit so I wound up eating the Clif mini bar around 3pm, simply because if I didn’t then I’d be going 6 hrs in between meals and I hate doing that because I end up ravenous…
I had dinner around 6pm today which consisted of pork roll & cheese on an english muffin with yummy sweet potato fries… Now, for those of you not from the PA/NJ area, you probably have no idea what pork roll is, nor do you want to… However, for the sake of explanation, here’s an overview. As I was typing this link, I realized there is another breakfast-like food that hasn’t made itself available outside of Philadelphia (read: thank goodness!): scrapple… Unlike pork roll, I won’t come close to this stuff because it skeeves me out!

Luckily, after dinner, I hit the gym and had a really productive workout… SPINNING!! I don’t feel so guilty about grazing all day knowing I ended it with a hard workout, especially when it’s high-paced spinning… my true workout love <3… If I could spin everyday I’d be in heaven… however the schedule at the gym + my schedule do not get along and there is no way of making it work, except for on weekends (and some random nights like tonight!)… I lucked out tonight because my fave teacher was a sub for the normal “ok” teacher… I did have an issue w/ one of the bikes though, the clip on the bike (to clip in my cycling shoes) was wobbly and I was nervous of having an accident or injuring my ankle so I had to switch bikes mid-way
Other than that, it was a great workout!!!
I’ll be taking many more spinning classes within the next two months because I’m officially in training-mode for the ACS Bike-A-Thon… I registered today! This is my 3rd time doing this amazing ride
I highly encourage all of you to participate in the ACS activities that will be coming your way, it’s such a great cause, especially because a lot of survivors participate, so it really is a very emotional event for all involved!
Now I am off to shower and grab a snack (will be posted later!) and relax for the night, while my mom and I sort through all of your yummy suggestions regarding our dinner tomorrow!

Hi,
My name is Andrea and I am working on the Spinning Nation event. I won’t bore you with the details, but it’s the first Spinning fundraising event ever and we have a very small staff putting it together. If you like the idea and wouldn’t mind mentioning us on your blog, it would help a lot. If not, I understand. Blogs are a very personal thing and I’d never ask if it weren’t all for good causes. Thanks, you can always reach me at andrea@sportsgrants.org. The website is http://www.spinningnation.org.
Best regards,
Andrea
