Wacky Wednesday Wrap-up

No it wasn’t really a wacky Wednesday, but I felt the need to use alliteration (remember that word from grade school?!?!) just because I like to :)

So, here’s my post from yesterday, that I “forgot” to hit publish on after I posted my bike pics…

I was really full from my lunch so it did hold me over until 4′ish when I ate the Clif bars… eating a full sized bar at once often fills me up… so I had half at 4pm and then the other half at 5:15pm… Kickboxing was great and seemed more challenging since I missed last week’s class… I worked up a sweat and burned over 450 calories (including the abs/pilates workout after)!  I noticed that it was really challenging for me and my legs seemed sore, perhaps from the bike ride on Sunday and the fact I was using muscles I don’t typically use…

Tonight for dinner, I decided to have the rest of my leftovers… I tried to be somewhat creative so that way you all wouldn’t have to see the same picture again!  I combined the remainder of my white rice with the steamed veggies & shrimp and mixed in a LOT of Siracha, which was a bad/good/yummy idea because my mouth was on total fire…

I was still kind of hungry after this so I decided to have a cup of the leftover egg drop soup we had ordered yesterday… All in all, this meal definitely provided a really nice and different flavor compared to yesterday’s dinner!

A few hours later, I decided to have a little snack of fresh strawberries and half a banana, inspired by both VeggieGirl and CouchCubicle’s posts yesterday!  It was delicious and satisfied my sweet tooth!

IT MAY JUST BE ME, and if so, I’m odd, but CHINESE FOOD STEAMED SHRIMP IS THE FREAKING BOMB!!! No, really, I’m in love with it. Something about it, I don’t know what, is just so different than when I steam shrimp on my own. The flavor = perfection and they’re so soft and tender! And always big :) Plus, I always adore that they never overcook/steam my broccoli! Mmm!

Sarah ~ Yeah I am not a huge fan of the sauces either, the only one I really enjoy is sweet and sour and too much of it makes me feel sick! Mine is Hodgson Mill’s… and I cooked it in the microwave on full power for about 3-4 minutes (I give it a good stir about half way through) :)

Mmm! The Chinese leftovers look yummy, and I don’t usually care for chinese food. The sauces and msg scare me and most dishes are meat.
I also think that after sampling other Asian cuisines (Thai, Burmese, Indian) Chinese pails in comparison.

Oh, and your strawberry cracked wheat earlier looks really good! What kind do you use, and how do you cook it?

I love Siracha! I totally always do what you did though and use too much so that my mouth is on fire…. But in a good way? haha

mmm, i love chinese food- especially egg drop soup. There was this little place in Vancouver, WA, that made the best egg drop soup ever ( i cant remember the name since i haven’t lived there in a while). i still cant find anything that compares to it. i think it was so good because it was full of veggies and wasnt “gel-y” like *all* the ones in Kansas City

Egg drop soup is my absolute favorite – it’s so different from other soups because of its thicker consistency, and I love that!

Oh yes, I remember alliteration very well :)

Siracha may be the most fantastic asian condiment ever made!!! I even put it on pizza last night.

Hey, your post title is alliteration!! Sorry, I’m easily amused, haha ;0)

Isn’t kickboxing the greatest?? I love it.

Aww, so fun that the mini loaves that I baked/posted about inspired your snack – can’t go wrong with bananas and strawberries!! :0)
