Love Of Oats

A blog dedicated to balancing a healthy and fun life… with oats!

Fun-filled Saturday

My 2nd dress fitting was today… so my mom headed out to my 12pm appointment… The dress fit amazingly perfect after some alterations were made to it and they had done the “bustle” part, so it was really cool to see that! Now I just have to show my MOH how it works :)

After the fitting, my mom decided to grab lunch @ The Cheesecake Factory… I couldn’t decide what I wanted because I wanted something healthy and satisfying but still light… so i was so excited and pleased to find that they serve eggs ALL day!  I ordered the “Energy Breakfast” which was Scrambled Egg Whites Served with Grilled Chicken Breast, Tomato, Mushroom and Spinach… It kicked butt… it was SOOOOO good and quite satisfying… I’ll definitely be ordering this again… I also had a coffee and some whole wheat toast w/ strawberry preserves alongside :)

We also got some shopping in at the mall… I got some nice LORAL lip gloss, lip liner for wedding day “beauty” at Sephora and also a nice pair of casual (work) shoes…

My plans for tonight are TBD… I am heading over to Bill’s house now and we might either grab dinner with some friends or make it at home, not sure yet, so whatever we do will be fun!

Margherita ~ Wow that’s interesting you say that because I really thought it was the opposite and that Europe was more health-conscious than us fast-food eating Americans :)

I’m so thrilled for you and envy you (in a a good way though!) that you can indulge in those healthy options…in Europe they still look at you like a mad gal if you order a scrambled egg with only WHITES!!! and NO salad can possibly be served without this nasty and greasy vinagrette, it’s like an offence to her majesty…God bless America!

Ashley ~ no i didn’t :) the problem is when i take most of my pics it’s early AM (dark) or late PM (dark), so when I have natural lighting, it really helps w/ picture quality!

I didn’t know that they had that at the Cheesecake Factory! YUM!! :) So good to know…

I DID KNOW, however, that they served eggs all day! (Just not that combo with the spinach, grilled chicken, shroomies, etc that sounds SO good Linds!) For future reference, girlfriend, they make the FLUFFIEST egg white omelets EVER! <333 (They are beyond massive though, so you may want to split it, unless you’re super hungry, like I was, and you can down the entire thing yo-self!) :)

egg whites are magic! although it’s hard here in the uk to be able to eat egg whites only because we don’t have egg beaters or anything like that, and i just can’t help but feel like i’m wasting money if i use 3 eggs in one go just for the whites…..
