Love Of Oats

A blog dedicated to balancing a healthy and fun life… with oats!

Wowza

I’m not feeling 100% today due to a completely fun and fabulous Saturday night, so I apologize for this post being less descriptive than most!

The bachelorette party was a blast… We started out the night with a yummy and fun dinner, eaten outside :)   My mom and MIL came along with my bridesmaids, baby niece, and a few of my close friends… I ordered a veggie burger on an inside-out wheat bun and sweet potato chips… my mom got the same thing and she thought it was delish!

My first drink of the night was at dinner and it was a “cheeseburger in paradise“, which was layers of strawberry daiquiri, pina colada, and blue curacao… it was good but just a tad bit too sweet for me!

Then it was out to Cavanaugh’s River Deck where lots of dancing & fun occurred!  We had a ball and danced (sweat) the night away!  Half-way through the night we had some appetizers (complimentary) and I think I ate a mozarella stick from here but to be honest, I’m not sure if I ate anything else on the tray… in fact, I didn’t even take this picture… my friends Kelly & Danielle took this picture because they knew I’d want to post it on the blog :)

We worked up quite a bit of an appetite since we were dancing straight through until 2am… on the way home, we decided to stop at Steve’s Prince of Steaks and get a cheesesteak… I think this is one of the most popular places in Philadelphia after 2am because it was super crowded… We all devoured them and then all fell fast asleep immediately after!

This morning, I took the girls who had stayed over (some had gone home) out to a late breakfast at the diner… We were pretty tired and we were all CRAVING coffee (is it weird if I had a dream about coffee right before I woke up???)!  I had 2 cups and then ordered a “stack” of whole wheat french toast… it was SO yummy and the perfect morning-after-crazy-night meal…

I was on a rampage for the rest of the day getting wedding stuff done and looked at the clock at 3:30 and realized I wasn’t feeling so well and also noticed I hadn’t eaten any lunch… so I made a quick pb&j sandwich:

This helped me to feel better but I’m still really tired… I have to get some more stuff done before I eat dinner so I hope that I get some R&R time in later tonight or else I’ll be a zombie tomorrow!

It was the best bachelorette party night that I could ever have hoped for so thanks to my fantastic family & friends… and thanks to the blogworld for all of your super nice comments wishing me a fun time!!!!!!

That sounds like the perfect girls night out. Not too too wild or debauchery. Simply a great night with your friends and family (with some good eats!) I can’t wait to keep reading all your leading-up-to-the-wedding post!!

Julz ~ LOL, awwwww you crack me up and sure know how to bring a smile to my face! Have you tried the pb from PB&CO? I’m sure that even if you aren’t a pb lover, you may soon become addicted like me :)

Anita ~ Hmmm, sadly, I’m not sure what you are referring to! There is nothing on the cheesesteak except for steak, american cheese, and the roll… maybe you are looking at the funky indent in the roll? :)

I like layered drinks more for their visual appeal; they ARE pretty cool

I’m glad you had so much fun!!! Just out of curiosity, what is on top of the cheesesteak? Maybe I just need my eyes checked out or something, but I cannot figure out what that is! :-D

I don’t even dig pb, or j, or english muffins all that much… That is, until NOW! It looks so doughy and DIVINE! I’ve been craving a pb +j on an english muffin recently, but have absolutely NO idea where this is coming from! Hmmm… Any ideas Miss PB + J-English Muffin? Uh, I mean, Miss Linds! Whoops! ;)
