Love Of Oats

A blog dedicated to balancing a healthy and fun life… with oats!

Stuffed!

So I was not too hungry for lunch today – that breakfast really filled me up! Plus I must say I’m not really being all that active today (with the exception of spinning) so maybe that’s why my hunger has not really been in full force? Anyway, I decided that I would make a snack into a meal by pilling on the toppings… Plus I was inspired by Running with Food‘s post regarding pumpkin + peanut butter, so I came up with the following combo:

  • 2 – 6oz cups of vanilla ff yogurt
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin
  • 1 tbsp Barney Butter Chunky
  • 1/2 cup fiber one
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tbsp raisins (most were mixed in but i saved some for the top!)
  • generous amount of cinnamon & 1tsp brown sugar

To get this:

Now I’m officially full, even though I wasn’t real hungry in the first place! This should definitely hold me off until dinner-time… Now it’s off to get my butt in gear and get some stuff done around the house… I’m also hoping to have time to create something for the BSI contest!

On a Phillies Note…

I thought this was totally appropriate for tonight. Bill is a HUMONGOUS Mike Schmidt fan, so I knew he’d get excited when he heard this latest “Fight Song”. And I’m sorry once again Tampa Bay fans, but you are going down tonight :) [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dt2wslay_zA&eurl=http://www.philadelphiaweekly.com/?inc=article&id=746&x=phillies-on-philm-day-three&_c=news].s

And being that I am a total fan of country music, and Tim McGraw, as some of you may know… I am super excited that Tim McGraw (son of famous Phil Tug McGraw) & Taylor Swift (PA native) are going to be singing at tonight’s Phillies game… Now if only I could get someone to buy us tickets (they are STARTING at $600 a ticket for standing room only)!!!!

I always feel like I can’t eat a thing for the first couple of hours after a workout. Later on, I can eat anything in sight!
