Love Of Oats

A blog dedicated to balancing a healthy and fun life… with oats!

Best Husband Ever :)

Bill made me a fabulous veggie-filled breakfast and it was even more special because it was his first time making omelets/scrambled eggs so I was really impressed that he decided to attempt the challenge for me on our Valentine’s Day Sunday… He made me scrambled eggs with broccoli (my request) and a very toasted ww English Muffin.

Super yummy!

It was also a great morning because I opened up a package that was sent to my parents’ house last night and it was a goodie bag full of treats from Heather!!!!!!!  The package contained:

  • Clif White Chocolate Macadamia Nut bar (CAN’T WAIT to eat this)
  • Pure Protein Peanut Butter Marshmallow (so yummy!)
  • Coupon for Stonyfield Farms Fro-Yo
  • Blueberry Golden Flaxseed (what a great combination – so intriguing!)

This was such a thoughtful gift since it contained ALL of my favorites!  Thank you so much Heather!!!!!!!  She is one of my favorite bloggers and has become such an inspiration for me, so if you haven’t seen her blog, go check it out ASAP!  You’ll be happy you did ;)

Now, I’m debating about what kind of workout I want to do… for some reason I have the urge to run, but I’m not sure I’ll make it in the 20 degree temps, so chances are I’ll be popping in P90X Kempo X (kickboxing).

The husband just told me he had a confession to make about our dinner tonight, since it’s been his tradition to make us a Valentine’s Day meal, he said that’s why he made breakfast, because we are going to the…

MELTING POT tonight for dinner instead!!!!!!!!!

I have been dying to go there for a while (it used to be one of our favorite places) but since we’ve been trying to save $$ with the impending house purchase, we’ve been trying to save every penny and thus decided we should only go out to restaurants when we have gift cards, etc.  Needless to say, this was a huge surprise!  I can’t wait – he’s the best hubby ever!!!!!!!!!!!! We’re going to one right outside of the city that is pretty scenic so it should be a really fun time!

Anyway, now I’m off to workout, shower and enjoy the day with Bill!  I’ll be back tonight with a recap of our delicious eats!
