It was such a nice day weather-wise, I’m sad we’re supposed to get showers tomorrow
We took advantage of the nice weather though and went for a long 45 minute walk around our neighborhood, it was lovely!!!
So what we thought was going to be a brief 30 minute trip to Lowe’s to buy the grill and lawnmower that we had already decided on, turned out to be a very painful and long shopping trip, but it was still productive and ! We headed out around 6:30 but before leaving, I snacked on some roasted soybean halves…

At Lowe’s, we picked out our items relatively quickly, bought everything and headed out to the car to load it all up. It turned into a family affair since Bill’s dad was also buying a lawnmower and my parents had stopped at Lowe’s to pick up some blinds ~ too funny! Well, Bill noticed that as he was loading our Charbroil Commercial grill, there was a dent in the box and then he realized that it was dented. So we had to wait for a new grill, etc… Long story short, we headed out of there finally around 8pm. My intention was to head home and cook dinner but we were both tired and decided that it would be best to use a gift card
So, off we went to Longhorn…
I started out with an unsweetened iced tea…

Then, I had a garden salad… If you can’t tell, I’m not a huge fan of croutons but forgot to ask for them on the side, so I made a pretty border out of them

My entree was an 8 ounce steak well done which I inhaled with lots of steamed veggies. Usually, I only eat half of this amount of steak, but I guess I was starved!

Now it’s off to relax, watch the rest of the Phillies game, and then it’s just about bedtime for me! I think I may settle in with a blanket and a hot cup of decaf tea… I’ll be back tomorrow after church

Now, I like croutons, but that is an excessive crouton to salad ratio! The crouton border does look very cute though
