Sweet n Salty, Chewy n Crunchy

p4213130

  • ProductOdwalla Chewy Nut Nourishing Food Bar
  • Flavor: Sweet ‘n Salty Almond
  • Nutritional Facts220 calories, 11g fat, 1g saturated fat, 6g fiber, 8g sugar, 7g protein
  • Why:  I really enjoyed the Odwalla bar I reviewed last week so I decided to follow your recommendations and try this flavor!
  • Taste:  Crunchy & Chewy?  How do they make them like this?  Seriously, though.  I love both textures and I love that they have mastered the combination of the two.  The bar was kind of sweet, even though I was surprised it had less sugar than the banana nut bar, but not overwhelming.  I loved being able to see the big chunks of almonds in the bar too. I loved the sweet n salty combo too, it wasn’t too strong, just right.
  • Satiety:  I had half of this bar before a workout and the other after a workout so I guess I can’t estimate how long it kept me full for, but it did give me the punch I needed to get my workout done.
  • Price:  on sale at $1/bar
  • Why you may not like them:  If you don’t like almonds or almond flavoring or the combination of salty/sweet.
  • Overall, would I have it again?  Again, if I can keep finding these bars for $1 I will keep buying them :)
  • Have you guys tried this flavor?  Do you agree/disagree with my review?

    1. I love their chocolate one that’s kind of like a no-bake cookie.

I had one of their super foods kind, though and spit it out. I’ll have to look for this one, though!

In our cafeteria at work they’re $1.99 :(

    2. Boy, do I love Odwalla. I have tried this one out and I definitely liked it, but I’ve tried a few other flavors that I think I like a little better. Nice review… honest and thorough!
