Love Of Oats

A blog dedicated to balancing a healthy and fun life… with oats!

Where’s the Morning?

No I’m not complaining that it isn’t Thursday morning anymore, but the day is FLYING!  How has your day been?  Has it been going by fast?  I hope so, Friday’s almost here :)

I skipped the gym today because I was TIRED and needed a break day, so I had extra time to have an enjoyable oat-y breakfast!  My purple bowl included:  1/2 c oat bran, 1 T flax, 2 T sunflower seeds, 1/2 C frozen blueberries, and 1 T PB2

I think because I had a later breakfast, I wasn’t hungry for my mid-am snack until 11, almost lunchtime, geez… I decided to have my snack and plan on having a later lunch as a result…

This yummy snack consisted of 1 cup of Stonyfield vanilla yogurt with a 1/2 cup fiber cereal… love the sweet taste from the yogurt & crunchy texture from the cereal :)

I’ll be back later w/ lunch, but I hope you’re having a great day!

PS.  Have any of you been taking extra precautions regarding the Swine Flu?  I’ve been washing my hands like CRAZY.  Be careful!

I mostly try to ignore that the swine flu is happening…I’ve always been good at washing my hands. I just got back from a long flight last week, and I think I’d still fly now if I had to.

I just LOVE sunflower seeds in my oats! They are so crunchy and healthy! Perfect way to start out the morning.

Stonyfield is my all-time favorite yogurt. They have so many delicious flavors and even the plain variety is yummy!

At this point, I kind of feel like the swine flu has exploded! I’m just living life as usual. However, I was also the girl who kept eating any and all PB products during the recall so I’m just asking for something to happen to me ;)

    Happy ALMOST Friday!

I know I will probably sound ridiculous but if the situation is still the same next weekend I will be driving down to Philly instead of driving. There is no need to be risky, you know? I am not a person that ever really plays it safe, but with the WHO putting it at a level 5 right now, I will be as safe as can be!

I have a pile of sunflower seeds that I couldn’t figure out what to do with (other than sprinkle on a salad). I had never thought of adding them to my oats! Thanks!!

(And I wish my day was flying by…mine is CREEPING!)
