Since I didn’t get to have my normal bowl of oats for breakfast today, I decided to make up a yummy bowl of stovetop oats to have for a late lunch instead! The larabar really held me over quite well, so by the time I sat down to have “lunch” it was 2pm. I used 1/2 cup of oats, mixed with cinnamon, skim milk, and vanilla. Once the oats were cooked, I mixed in 1 chopped bananas. As toppings, I used a tbsp of flax, pumpkin seeds, almonds, and fiber one. It was a hearty bowl that tasted delicious and filled me up for a good 3.5 hrs!
Now I’m off to finish up our “thank you” cards and get ready for tonight. A big kudos to Bill – he helped me tremendously with the thank you cards – I know most husbands don’t get involved with this so I am incredibly thankful
Our big plans for tonight involve a trip to Kohl’s (I am in need of a new pair of sneakers AND have a gift card) and then a trip to a semi-famous BBQ place that we have heard about, but never made the “trek” to go have dinner there yet. I’ll be back with the recap – can’t wait!
