Our honeymoon was just dreamy… that’s the only word I can think of to describe it… We were there for 8 days, but honestly time went by so slow, luckily, and it felt like we were there for quite some time… It was so nice to get away and have “no problem, mon” thoughts all day long… Everything was outstanding! The views of the mountains from our room were simply breathtaking… The food was unlike anything I had ever had before… My favorite place to frequent was the “Cafe de Paris” which was open nearly all day & all night… they served up delicious sweets & pastries alongside the very famous Blue Mountain coffee… I think I averaged 2 trips to the shop each day! All in all, it was an absolutely memorable vacation, not to mention honeymoon… the weather was perfect from the moment we got up until about 2-3pm and it rained for a few hours and then was perfect again… we actually looked forward to the 2 hour rain break each day because it gave us a chance to get out of the sun and rest up a bit! We spent most of our day either in the ocean, beach, or pool and then our late afternoon was spent napping… our nights were filled with fantastic dinners and then hanging out either at the Piano Bar (I was AWE at the piano player, considering I had played for a number of years) or listening to the featured singer or band of the day (who were also phenomenal)… We didn’t really head out of the resort too much, but did leave once to go on a zipline tour through a jungle (14 stories up, 1034 feet across) which was SO amazing! At the resort, we snorkeled (the reef was AMAZING) and went on a kayak (I am SO not good at it though)… I must add that last year when we were in Jamaica we did the ever famous Dunn’s River Falls, horseback riding, and also took a taxi into the town of Ochos Rios which was really interesting and neat… I think our favorite part of our honeymoon (besides the relaxing) was learning about other people from around the world: both the locals and the other honeymooners that we befriended!
Anyway, so without further adieu, here are some quick highlight pictures from our trip… there are so many more to feature (I took 500 pictures!), but I randomly selected a bunch just because I couldn’t decide!
