It’s been a crazy, but fun & productive Saturday! I can’t believe it’s 4:30pm already, how does that happen?! Looking back I got a lot done so I guess I know how that happened, but anyway, let’s recap the day so far
This morning I headed to 8am spin class STILL full from last night’s dinner, that never happens… I usually always need a snack beforehand, maybe it’s from all the protein I consumed last night from the steak & the Chobani!
Spinning was great, my teacher (who is a former female fitness competitor and is super buff & fit) had a P90X tank on and kept telling us to Bring It and during the ending stretches she told us to love ourselves… I kept thinking of Tony Horton in my head and cracking up. She’s never used those phrases before so I thought it was funny b/c they are used non-stop in P90X… but it was very motivating and I kicked some major butt!
Since I was heading to my parents’ house after spin, I packed a sandwich to eat in the car on my way there from the gym. I had two slices of Arnold’s whole wheat bread topped with chunky peanut butter and strawberries. I was really tempted to slather on the jelly, but realized as part of Crap-Free Week, I am only consuming real fruit preserves. However, once I ate the sandwich, I was REALLY happy I chose to use strawberries instead. It was 10 times better!

I made a quick pit-stop at Starbucks, which is located pretty close to my gym. I guess that’s good & bad
I ordered a tall coffee (Pike’s Peak blend, if you are curious!) and topped it with skim milk. Do you guys like the pretty flowers my dad got my mom? They smelled so good!

Since I have all of my big packages and mail sent to my parents house, since we live in Philadelphia and don’t really have anywhere for the mail people to leave them, once a week I stop by my parents’ house and get my mail. Today I was pleasantly greeted with our Phillies season ticket package! Bill was excited when I brought this home

I got home and showered and cleaned up a bit and then got ready for lunch: oat bran. Yup, that’s right. I bought oat bran yesterday and was TOOOOOOOOOO excited to wait until Sunday morning to eat it so I had a big ol’ bowl for lunch. Holy yum, I must say, in the words of VeggieGirl. And a big thanks to Miss Heather for enticing me with it on her blog! It definitely reminded me of Cream Of Wheat, which I ate a lot as a kid. I cooked mine according to the container with 1 C water and a pinch of salt. I loved the addition of salt in the bowl, I never did that with my oats before so maybe I should try it. This beautiful bowl was topped with sliced almonds, ground flax, and dried cranberries. Of course on the side, I had a blog of chunky peanut butter. Thank goodness natural peanut butter is CRAP FREE!

On the side, I had POM juice + water in the spirit of Valentine’s Day! Notice the red theme in my foods today?

Now I’m off to bake some treats for later and get ready for tonight. I’m also going to have a snack. We have to leave in under 2 hrs so I don’t have much time… I’ll be back with a quick recap for ya’ll then it’s off to the comedy show w/ Bill and my family.
I truly hope you all have a fabulous Valentine’s Day!!!!
