What did you guys think of Biggest Loser? Was that a tough decision at the end of the episode or what?! I won’t spoil it in case some of you haven’t seen it yet…
Today was definitely one of those “I need a warm breakfast” days especially because it was 18 degrees out this morning when I left for work ~ yikes! Luckily, I carpooled with my friend so I was able to hop right into his warm car when he picked me up. I guess that is one of the benefits to carpooling to work, when it’s not your turn to drive, along with saving gas money & tolls!
I started out with a very berry breakfast: blueberry oats! This bowl contained my standard 1/2 cup oats, a well-rounded 1/4 cup frozen blueberries, 2 tbsp Bear Naked Fruit ‘n Nut granola, flax, and pecan halves.

Mid-morning, I had time to have a snack, so I packed a frozen blueberry Vita-Top muffin with me so that way it would defrost by the time I ate it ~ worked out perfectly! I used to order these but it got too expensive; however, this week I found them on sale at Giant!

Lunch was actually brought from home ~ are you shocked???!!!! I actually looked forward to it all week because I just LOVE pb&j
I smeared the very last of my Mighty Maple and some jelly on two slices of Arnold’s Double Fiber bread. On the side, I had a sliced kiwi (with the skin on!), and a small honeycrisp apple.

I worked until 5 today so I tried to hold off on having my Clif bar for as long as possible, but around 4:15, I felt pretty hungry so I ate it then. By the time I got to the gym, it was 5:40′ish anyway so it worked out fine.

When I got to the gym, I knew I only had an hour or so to work out since I was going home with Bill (my friend dropped me off at the gym instead of at home). I decided to hop into the kickboxing class (that I used to take) that started at 5:45. I only stayed for 45 minutes AND left my kb gloves at home, but it was still a great, sweaty, stress-relieving workout that I surely needed. Honestly, it felt so good to punch the air LOL… It definitely helps me relax after a crazy day
Dinner was another simple one – notice a trend here? We had chicken sausages on whole wheat buns that I cooked on my Cuisinart grill pan, and huge salads. My salad was served in a big chip bowl to let you know just how big it was

I was in the mood for popcorn even before eating dinner, so I purposely had a smaller dinner than normal so I’d still be hungry for it
I had popcorn & grapes - delish combo!

Ok well, now I’m off for some R&R at least for an hour before bed! We are watching part of the LOST recap in preparation for the premiere!
CALLING FOR GUEST BLOGGERS…
I’m going to be traveling Mon thru Friday of next week and was wondering if anyone would like to do a guest post on my blog. It could be about anything concerning health, food, workouts, nutrition, etc. The only criteria is that it must contain at least 1 picture (I’m a visual person!) and I would need to have your completed post ready to go by Saturday at midnight. If you are interested, please email me at loveofoats@gmail.com! Thanks in advance!
